Tricia’s Story

Hi, my name is Tricia.

I am a mother to young kiddos, diagnosed with cancer at 36 years old. I had a DMX surgery in December and spent the night of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in a hospital room an hour away from my family. I learned a few weeks after my surgery that I had triple positive breast cancer and needed rigorous TCHP chemo for 6 rounds.

Round one was very tough. I am missing so many memory moments as I fight through chemo towards health. It is heartbreaking at times and I am also leaning into hope through the hard.

Boxed by an Angel provides light in the dark, inspiring hope to face the hard, through the heartfelt love and kindness of strangers. Receiving a box makes me feel not so alone in this journey and brightens this walk cheerfully to help me feel more like myself again.

My hair is gone but my hope is still shining through and my gratitude is overflowing towards others who illuminate this journey one step at a time.
