Marisa’s Story

Hi there! I'm Marisa, and I'm 30 years old. I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma 6 weeks after my daughter was born in 2017.

I went through chemo and an amputation and was cancer-free for 2 1/2 years. However, in 2021, I relapsed and became a stage 4 cancer patient because the cancer moved into my lungs. Since 2021, I have had 4 lung surgeries, radiation, and have been on some sort of chemo for almost a year currently.

I am trying my best to balance mom life, cancer life, career life, and living life. I love little boxes like this because I feel like all I get is medical bills, lol.
