Tracy B’s Story

I have a rare incurable neuroendocrine cancer called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1.

Essentially, my tumor gene is broken, causing tumors to grow uncontrollably instead of suppressing them. I was born with this but misdiagnosed for years until a few years ago at the age of 33, now 36. I’ve had lung and pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer and tall cell papillary cancer in the last 3 years.

I’ve had 6 surgeries, chemo injections, and next week radiation, all in 4 years. It’s been traumatic, to say the least, and it’s unfortunately never-ending.

One moment at a time. I am permanently disabled, but I try to live my life encouraging others and being open in my walk so people know they’re not alone.

Art is a big outlet for me and helps with depression and anxiety. Thank you for your consideration.
