Renee’s Story

Hi, my name is Renee.

I was diagnosed with serious endometrial cancer (Stage 4) on December 19, 2022. Just finished 10 rounds of chemo and surgery, and I'm currently on a year of immunotherapy, but things aren't going well.

My tumor markers started rising just two weeks after chemo ended. There are complications from surgery, with fluid in my abdomen that they can't identify. During chemo, it was a weekly struggle.

I also have a hernia in my entire abdomen. The last CT scan is uncertain about growth in my colon or if it's just fluid buildup. I'm a 47-year-old with anxiety, going from an active life to hardly being able to do anything.

During my last chemo, I had an allergic reaction, so I'm unsure about what will happen next.

I grew up in Lake Wales, FL, and now I'm in Flint, MI.

-Renee
