Kristina’s Story

I'm 35 years old and a mom to a 3-month-old and a 19-month-old. The day before my birthday, I got diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. A few days before my 6-week postpartum appointment, I felt a lump in the shower and casually mentioned it to the doctor, thinking it was just a clogged milk duct.

Turns out, the mass was benign, but the calcifications directly under it were cancerous, along with others found in my left breast. The discovery of the mass was purely coincidental, and it turned out to be a lifesaver.

I have my scheduled double mastectomy on February 1st and feel incredibly fortunate that I found it when I did. :)

Thank you for all you do. You truly are a special person.
