Anjlee’s Story

My 36-year-old daughter, Anjlee, recently received the news that her triple-negative breast cancer has spread to her lungs, putting her at stage 4. Witnessing her struggle breaks my heart each time. She has embarked on a challenging journey, undergoing weekly chemo sessions at a hospital three hours away. It's an incredibly long day for her, starting at 5:15 am and returning home at 9 pm.

Despite being a single mom, Anjlee adamantly refuses assistance in caring for her two little boys. Remarkably, she hasn't missed a single day of work, except for her weekly chemo day. Working in a children’s daycare, she spends her day on her feet—and then comes home to her lively sons. She refuses to accept any help, because she wants her boys to experience as normal a life as possible.

I find myself praying, asking the Lord to watch over my little girl. It's agonizing to witness her endure so much suffering, and my heart aches for her.
