Beth’s Story

Right after my 50th birthday last August, I was surprised with the jarring news that doctors had ‘found something’ during my yearly mammogram. After many tests, a biopsy and lumpectomy, it was determined that I had two malignant tumors in my right breast. I underwent a double mastectomy and will begin reconstruction later this year with my husband and son by my side. Through everything my faith has remained strong and I am praising God that my cancer was caught early at stage 1a. Thanks to this, I will not have to undergo any chemotherapy or radiation at this time. I am so grateful for everything Boxed by an Angel is doing to build this community and connect other survivors like me.
