Ruth’s Story

My name is Ruth, and I am 36 years old. I am a wife and mother of two beautiful children. I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2014. I battled and beat it, going into remission, but unfortunately, it came back, and I continue to fight.

I started chemotherapy treatment and have been struggling with many additional health issues. My kids, husband, and family have been my support system. I was told I had only six to eight months to live, but thank the Lord, I have surpassed that and continue to fight.

Life hasn’t been easy, as my children are still young and don’t fully understand. My son is 6, and my daughter is 13—my miracle babies. Recently, I passed out in front of my house and was taken to the hospital. I’m now on a heart monitor for 30 days to determine if I had a seizure or stroke.

I’m asking for all the prayers I can get to continue fighting against this horrible illness—the "C." I hate saying the word.
