Monica’s Story

Hi, my name is Monica.

I am a 36-year-old mom of two sweet boys, ages 3 and 11, and a wife to an amazing husband of 18 years. I was recently diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. Currently recovering from a double mastectomy and getting ready to start the fight not only for my life but also to be able to be around for my boys as well.

This is a photo of my sweet family on a road trip we took recently. This was the trip I noticed the lump in my breast on our last day! We rented an RV and drove from FL to Texas and just had an absolutely amazing time. I look back and think how simple our life was in this picture! I’m so grateful we did this and had that time before being diagnosed.
