Faryn’s Story

Hi, my name is Faryn.

I am 30 years old, and last year on February 2, 2023, my firstborn son, Juno, passed away from a rare cancer (Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor) at only 3 months old.

Only 10 months later, on December 1, 2023, while 37 weeks pregnant with his little brother River, I was diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a lump in my breast. I had a PET scan a few weeks after my baby was born and found out that I am stage IV with Mets in my liver and spine.

I have been in treatment for a month now, 3 weeks on, one week off, of Taxol and Keytruda. I am triple negative, and I am awaiting a liver biopsy to find targeted treatment or clinical trials. It’s been a year from hell, to say the least.
