Karen’s Story

I’m an Ovarian Cancer survivor, diagnosed at Stage 3, November 2019. I had surgery, chemo, radiation then remission.

I was diagnosed again in January 2024 with a reoccurrence and started chemo in February. I’m a 56 year old mom of 5, by birth and adoption—and a grandma of 2.

I have mild left side spastic hemiplegic cerebral palsy which is part of my identity, but doesn’t define me.

I feel the same way about cancer now, it doesn’t define me. My faith is a huge support in my life and family and friends as well. Thank you for considering me.
