Jaquilla’s Story

Hi, my name is Jaquilla Ellis.

I’m 37 years old and was diagnosed with triple-negative HER2 breast cancer in October of last year. I’ve been a CNA for four years and have been taking care of my 4-year-old niece for the past three years.

I’ve undergone surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation and recently started returning to work. Though it hasn’t been easy, I truly miss being a CNA. Caring for people is my passion.
