Noelle’s Story

It's a bit odd for me to ask for something for myself, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm Noelle, and I got diagnosed with breast cancer first around 10 years ago, at Stage 1. I responded well to treatment and was cancer-free for a good two years. Unfortunately, it came back stronger as Stage 4, known as metastatic breast cancer, spreading throughout my bones. For over 7 years now, I've been through a number of different treatments, trying to stay a step ahead of it.

Lately, I’ve been very frustrated with always being bald, tired and in pain. I'm working on keeping a positive attitude, but it's been tough going through years of treatments that don't seem to work. Next week, I have surgery for a new problem, and then it's right back to chemotherapy.

I know I shouldn't complain, considering I've seen many friends pass away in the past few years. Any kind of boost would be a real pick-me-up.

Thanks for letting me share my story.

-Noelle
