Melissa W’s Story

My journey with breast cancer started back in 2015 after the birth of my daughter. I had to have a mastectomy and undergo 16 rounds of chemotherapy.

At the time, my son was 7, and with a 3-month-old daughter, I was so fortunate to have so much support from family and friends. In 2020, I had a recurrence—same cancer, same area, more chemotherapy, another surgery, and this time, 25 radiation treatments. I got through that scare and felt lucky.

Now, in 2024, I'm facing another recurrence. I am so grateful to have beaten this disease twice and am trying to stay positive so I can do it again!
