Marti’s Story

I was diagnosed on December 22nd, so I spent my holiday informing family and friends, while also trying to come to terms with it all myself. January was a blur of appointments and attempting to function like a normal person. On February 5th, I underwent a DMX with reconstruction, so I am a little over three weeks post-op.

My healing isn't progressing as I'd like, but we are getting there. Overall, I feel good! My biopsy came back with clear margins, so they say I am cancer-free. However, a part of me will always still worry. I experience a range of emotions, with good and bad days, but I am thankful!
