Marissa’s Story

Hello! I was diagnosed with triple-positive invasive ductal carcinoma a few months ago and am getting ready to wrap up chemotherapy this month. Then, I will have surgery and see where the journey takes me from there.

I am a 28-year-old wife and a mom to a little girl who just turned one. This diagnosis has taken my whole family by surprise and has been something we never wanted to encounter.

Now, my mom, who has been there for me this entire time, recently found a lump and has a diagnostic appointment later this month. We are praying it is nothing and we can move on from this nightmare.

The breast cancer community, though, is so strong, and I’ve found a lot of comfort in pages like yours!
